I realize I usually do reviews on books but this time,  I have to tell you about Netflix’s Lost in Space.

Most reboots almost never live up to the hype. Usually, they fall flat and never quite bring back the same elements that made the original so loved. I don’t feel that’s the case with Netflix’s reboot of Lost in Space.

If you aren’t familiar with either the old or the new, the story of Lost in Space is set in a semi-post apocalyptic future where the Robinsons are struggling to rebuild their family and journey to Alpha Centauri. Of course, on their way they become lost, and eventually, Will befriends an extraterrestrial robot that he names…Robot.

I don’t want to ruin it for anyone, but I will say that the Robinsons get so much more than they expect from this journey to their new home. Family is rebuilt, courage is found, forgiveness is given. Time and time again, self-doubt is dashed. Every character, even beyond the main characters, experiences all the virtues and iniquities that define the human race.

The new series is full of action, twists, and excitement. There are many sitting-on-the-edge-of-your-seat moments and many scenes that brought me to tears. My family and I love watching the show together and honestly hate to see it come to an end.
