Hello, Friday Fiction Friends!

Movies. Love ’em or hate ’em, there are plenty out there in this day of streaming to fill every second of our time. But what to watch? During the next few months, I want to commit to watching ten movies based on books (because this is Friday Fiction) that I haven’t checked out before. I love movies based on books because I can compare and think about what I like and dislike. I also enjoy seeing what actor or actress they choose to play the parts because if I re-read the book, I’m going to see their image.

I’ve done some research and here’s what I have come up with. So, in no particular order:

  1. Where the Crawdads Sing
  2. The Hunger Games
  3. A Beautiful Mind
  4. The Express
  5. Rise of the Guardians
  6. To Kill a Mockingbird
  7. The Martian
  8. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
  9. Dune 2
  10. Bridge to Terabithia

And yes, I know some of you are saying “How could you have never seen that movie?” I guess I’ve never been a big movie watcher though I occasionally binge series (like Sherlock) and I do enjoy seeing my favorite movies over and over. (Like LOTR and Star Wars)

Now I want to know: What movies are on your To-Be-Watched pile? Do you set goals for how many movies you want to watch a year?
