Hi, Friday Fiction Friends! 2024 was a great year full of wonderful books. I took time this summer to re-read my collection of thirty Inspector Alleyn mysteries by Ngaio Marsh, a writer from the Golden Age of Detective fiction. If you love mysteries, I think you’ll enjoy them. I ordered them “used” with three novels in each book. Ngaio Marsh books.
The blog contributors and I have reviewed many interesting books this year and hopefully, you’ve had time to read a few of them. We love reading and writing reviews.
Here were the most popular posts by each of the team:
- Jennifer Hallmark-Friday Fiction: The Visitation by Frank Peretti
- Cammi Woodall-Revisiting a Classic: Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption
- A.S. Hardin-Friday Fiction: Bloodstone by Karl Edward Wagner
- Melissa Troutman-Friday Fiction: The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander
- K.A. Ramstad-Friday Fiction: The Carousel by Liz Rosenberg
- Arthur-Friday Fiction: Midshipman’s Hope by David Feintuch
You may have noticed that we don’t share negative reviews. Long ago, I decided there were enough blogs that shared what “not to read.” Time is precious when it comes to reading and we want you to savor books the same way we do. So, we write about our favorites.
Is there anything different you’d like to see next year? More YA, Middle-Grade, or Picture books? More science fiction? Just leave a comment and we’ll see what we can do.
As always, we appreciate all the shares and comments. You make life better for us all…
So, join us in 2025 as we pass along more great novels, novellas, chapter books, and picture books. There is something for everyone on Friday Fiction.
