The second book in a trilogy in Hanover Falls , Forever After tells the story of two people whose lives are connected by a tragedy causing their family members to perish. Lucas and his father fought to put out the fire at the homeless shelter. While Lucas survived, he wasn’t able to save his father and now struggles to cope.
Jenna’s husband Zack perished in the fire as well. Jenna finds herself trying to grieve a husband she didn’t truly love. Financial problems leave her dependent on her in-laws and she must navigate her rocky relationship with them as she has nowhere else to turn. She also must deal with past sins and secrets that affect her relationships even after the tragedy has passed.
The two must find a way to deal with the past and move on with their lives. How will they do so? Could their journeys through grief intersect?
Forever After sounds like a good read and a good page turner! I will be needing to put it on my to read list! Thanks for sharing this.
I’d recommend reading Almost Forever first, Alicia. It’s the first book in the series.
