Here’s a review by my good friend, Janie Winsell. You can check out her books here…

Although it is hard to narrow my favorite book down to one title, a book series that I continue to go back and read would be Dee Henderson’s O’Malley books. I remember in college, a friend told me about a Christian author that I just had to read. I hadn’t gotten into Christian fiction before this because they all seemed too cookie cutter. Anyways, I borrowed Danger in the Shadows by Dee Henderson. From there, I fell in love with both the story and the characters.

If you love romantic suspense and action where real Christians face hard choices and real obstacles, I recommend Danger in the Shadows by Dee Henderson. Danger in the Shadows is the prequel book to the O’Malley series, which follows the lives of seven foster children that banded together to form their own family. Danger in the Shadows introduces Sara who is on the run from the man who kidnapped her years before. Under the protection of the FBI, she is constantly on the move. When she meets ex-football player Adam Black, she never expected to fall in love. Not only does she not have time for love, but Adam’s high profile status could alert her kidnapper where she is. However, God has another plan. This book kept me on the edge of my seat as I fell in love with Adam right along with Sara. Danger in the Shadows is a romantic suspense that brings hope and strength to those who read it.
