Hello, friends. I’m checking in today from the icy state of Alabama. It’s supposed to be colder here today than in Anchorage, Alaska. It’s hard to believe. How is the weather where you call home?

Let’s talk a little more about my upcoming podcast, Determined to Dance which is set to air on March 2nd. I’m closer to being ready. The practicing is paying off. I’m learning how to incorporate music, add an intro and an outro, and talk into a mic without freaking out.

All part of a podcaster’s life. 🙂

I’ve been working with a writing coach during the pandemic and one thing we’ve discussed at length has been starting a podcast. I’ve had many ideas but we’ve kept digging deep to find a topic that would appeal to listeners and incorporate my life experiences. When I asked friends what they thought my strengths were, two came to light.

Encourager.

Perseverer.

Is that even a word? Probably not, but you understand. In other words, I’ve tried hard to encourage others and live determined. And in this time of upheaval, both are much needed. And hey, when I lift up and stir others, I receive the same myself. As a man thinks in his heart, so he is. (Proverbs 23:7, paraphrase)

Let’s throw off the restraint of depression and passivity. The downward pull of society around us. The world would have us march to its chaotic beat but God invites us to dance in His will and His way. In two weeks, I’ll be ready to go.

How about you? Please join me on March 2nd as we take the journey together.

Until then. Stay determined to dance.

Podcast coming soon. The tentative start date is March 2nd.
